First class.
The theme was "robot".
Whatever way you may want to interpret the concept.

I wanted to make something organic and mechanical. This was really fun to draw especially the limbs. How neat would it be if I could make a jewelry piece with this?

Done completely in Photoshop and my trusty tablet.

Did this one night...having no idea what to do with myself..and simply did not want to go to sleep.

Inspired by an Alice in wonderland photo shoot my sisters and I had this past October.

Done in Chinese brush and ink.

Merri's world

An experiment with drawing with beads!

I always had a crazy fascination with bead crafts.I love the buildup of detail and color..all starting with one bead.

This was so fun to do.I wish i could do all paintings in beads( though that might end up quite expensive.)

I felt the heavy gazes...

Watercolor,color pencil, pastels,pencil

Portrait of A Sleepy Sister

Ink with brush

It's surprising how the pieces I get done in less than 10 minutes sometimes look better than the ones one that took an hour. This literally took 5 to 7 minutes...trying to capture that disgruntled sleepy attitude of hers.

Silkscreen with hand painted gold acrylic on red paper.
2x3 ft

This print was used for my BFA Thesis Exhibition SHAMAN.

Feed Your Head

A silkscreen I did a year and a half ago for a History of Rock Class.

As the story goes, I asked if I could do a silkscreen poster instead of a 5 page paper.
And being the super cool person he was....he said yes.

For those who don't know..."feed your head" was a line from the Jefferson Airplane song White Rabbit. I have always loved that song...and Grace Slicks's voice.
